Mommies and Daddies
Mommies and Daddies
Mommies are there for you
When you need them the most.
To care for you when you are sick
To make you buttered toast.
They hold you on their lap
And hug you when you are sad.
When they don’t know what to do,
They turn you over to Dad.
Daddies show love in many other ways
They like to watch over you close.
You may think they don’t want you to have fun.
But they are keeping an eye on what matters most.
They work hard for all in the family.
Their hands are big, calloused and strong.
But they use those hands to hold you with love
Or even to teach you when you are wrong.
Daddies and mommies are always good.
A father or mother, anyone can be.
But it takes a special person,
To earn the name Daddy and Mommy.

Road Rage in Springfield, IL
Last week on the way to work I noticed a police car that pulled over a large semi truck. I was in the right lane and traffic was moving pretty quick. I decided to get over to the left lane so it would be safer for the cop. So I put my signal on. The first car ignored me so I let them pass. The second car was way behind me so I changed lanes. Evidently that car was going really fast because she came right up on me. As soon as I got around the police man, she flew around me and then told me I was number 1 in her book…
I sped up and caught up with her. As I pulled around her she started shouting and gesturing at me, so I took her picture with my cell phone. It is blurry since we both were moving pretty good, but here it is:

I am back
Ok, I am back. I was camping with my family for the last 5 days. No internet access :) Got some neat photos and also all of us had ticks on us. The nasty little buggers were everywhere. I have some photographs to share as well as a new pencil drawing to post. So check back in a day or two. It will take me a little bit to get everything organized..etc.
