In the Springtime the

wind chimes sound forth melodies.

Only the winds know.

Conversation with a 4 year old about Death

Boy: I am sad.
Dad: Why is that?
Boy: Because my sister died.
Dad: Mommy and Daddy are sad about that too.
Boy: I am also sad cause Grandpa died.
Dad: We are sad about that too.
Boy: Who else is in the ground?
Mom: Uncle Bob is...
Boy: I am sad about him too. Who else is in the ground?
Dad: Granny is.
Mom: You didn't get to meet her, did you.
Boy: No. Who else is in the ground?
Mom: That's about all that you know.
Boy: What about the guy on the nickle?

Charles Case

Last week at this time we were in Decatur spending our last moments with my wife's grandfather. His name: Charles Case. He passed away at around 2:00 AM, last Friday morning.

Clocktower Reflected

Here is the clocktower at West Port Plaza, St. Louis Mo.

Clocktower at Union Station

In St. Louis, Mo:

They are repairing the clocktower at Union Station. It looks like a massive undertaking. Here are some shots of the work. I did not have a lot of time to take photographs in St. Louis since I was ready to get back home. But here is a couple in case you are interested.

San Diego Model at the Vistor Center

I stopped by the visitor center in downtown San Diego. They had this interesting model of the entire San Diego city. I took photos to share with you.



This is a view of the US Midway and Seaport Village to the right.



This shows Downtown San Diego.



This long building is the Convention Center where my conference was held. I was told it is almost a mile long from one end to the other. It had a great view of the water.

In this shot I tried to get a shot of a building in Seaport Village, next to one of the modern Hotels in San Diego.

Green Shark

I went to Sea World while in San Diego. I took a picture of a shark. It looked better on the Camera than when I loaded it to the computer. So I used Photoshop and here is what I came up with.

The time change causes

discombobulation. I

am one hour late.

DST is coming!

I am awake at 1:00 AM. Why? I am waiting for the time change so that I can check systems at work to make sure everything is running ok. Fun stuff, huh?
