As we advance in life it becomes more and more difficult, but in fighting the difficulties the inmost strength of the heart is developed. Vincent Van Gogh

Transitory Sleep
makes one weak and confused.
Depression follows.

Sounds of discord return with
reverberation.

Overbearingness
is not a good quality.
Meekness is better.

Our Time

Lying with my baby,
underneath the stars,
Moon so bright and shiny
"Hey, I think that's Mars."

My truck bed is filled
with sleeping bags and pillows.
We hear the night sounds
and the wind in the willows.

This time is ours,
no one can take away.
We try to talk about something,
But think of nothing to say.

So we hold each other tightly,
and promise to never leave,
to keep this moment forever,
but we know that's just naive.

So we cherish the moments
that we can be as one.
Knowing it could end soon.
Something will ruin our fun.

Thunder off in the distance.
Clouds appear overhead.
Rain begins to fall on us.
We need an umbrella instead.

Rain falls down hard,
soaking us to the bone.
We run inside laughing,
only to hear the phone.

It's the babysitter calling,
telling us the news.
Kids are sleeping soundly
after a night of Blue's Clues.

So off to bed we go,
Thinking of the nice times we had.
Having kids at the babysitters,
hey, that's not half bad.

Off in the distance,
silent heat lightning flashes
without sound or storm.

Opportunities
come in many ways. Some are
equal, some are not.

forth. Loud banging explosions
fill the solemn air.

Directions to London

Someone emailed me this and I tried it. It was funny.

Take 60 seconds to do this, I guarantee you will show someone else, it's too funny not to.

1. go to www.google.com

2. click on "maps"
3. click on "get directions"
4. type "New York" in the first box (the "from" box)
5. type "London" in the second box (the "to" box)
6. click on "get directions"
7. scroll down to step #23

Uno is that same number
just in Spanish speak.

Beer is bubbly.
But you don't see men drinking
with a straw, do you?

Who likes the kernels
from popcorn? The snack's tasty
but toothpicks are not.

And here is another one that just came to me...

Electric fences
are no place for a pee break.
I learned a lesson.

I hear bad music
while on hold with Microsoft.
I need a hotfix.
For those of you who don't know, Microsoft sometimes knows there is a problem with there software and creates a hotfix or computer patch to fix the bug. But in their infinite wisdom, they decide to make you call in to get authorization to download it.

It is waxy and minty

Does anyone actually read my Haiku poems?

and the flowers bloom.

Escaping Chihuahua

Our little Chihuahua kept getting out of his cage that we keep him in. We only put him in it when we are gone, if he is naughty or anytime we just don't want him free to roam the house. But lately we kept finding him out. So recorded the little escape artist at work.
